It looks like Adrian felt let down by the BBC after trying to replace him with Chris Evans on Fridays so off he has moved to pastures new.
To most viewers across the country, Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley are ‘The One Show’, so to split them up by introducing another presenter might be rather hard to swallow for many viewers.
The chemistry between Chiles and Bleakley is fantastic and they both work together excellently which is why The One Show works so well.
Take one of them away and it all falls flat.
And clearly ITV could see this where as the BBC could not which is why Chiles has been offered a position hosting GMTV, the question is will Christine follow her good friend over to ITV?
Chiles has worked for the BBC all of his working life so I am sure he will be feeling quit bitter and let down but £1 million a year job should help heal his wounds within the first pay cheque.
Adrian not only presents The One Show but also hosts many other shows so the BBC will need to start thinking on their feet if they are to find a suitable replacement for him before he pulls viewers over to ITV in all the genres of television presenting he covers.
